Over the past three days, students at SFSU have promoted the upcoming Focus the Nation Teach-in at SFSU by distributing 1000 compact fluorescent light bulbs to students and others on campus. The opportunity came up when the on campus “ECO Students” club organized “Every Day is Earth Day” for the week of October 22nd (six months opposite April 22nd - Earth Day). A series of workshops and events from Monday through Thursday.

Activities like the “stuff swap” and Take Your Bicycle to School Day will show students clean and cheap alternatives to energy-intensive modern conveniences. Guest speakers ranging from SF State professors to local organizations will highlight environmental issues and acknowledge the university’s burgeoning interest in sustainability, said ECO Students member Suzanne McNulty.
