Georgia Students for Sustainability is for all of Georgia's climate, energy, social justice, and sustainable community organizers and activists looking to insight change in State and Federal
legislation, as well as on individual College and University Campuses, Communities, Neighborhoods, and in industry.
Georgia is the tenth worst Carbon Dioxide Polluter in the nation. Georgia Power's plants Bowen and Scherer rank 1st and 2nd in the top 50 power plants in the country for most CO2 pollution respectively.

Thus, with an emphasis on Energy issues sourrounding the consumption of fossil fuels and Global warming (the most pressing issue any generation has ever faced), this group attempts to provide a medium for networking, cooperative action, and support for ndividual Georgia environmentalists and Campus environmental organizations to inspire change in creative and effective ways.
